Our story starts a long time ago when I was in university I was dedicated to dresses, I was surfing the internet 3 to 4 hours daily looking at dresses, I wished that I could have them all lol
Living in Middle East area, online shopping experience was very difficult. My family, friends and all people around me were very devotee to physical stores; but I can see many different and unique styles over the web that I can’t find locally. So, I decided to start…
My cousin wedding was close, she was very stressed to find her dream gown and because I viewed many lovely gowns over the web I tried to help her finding a special one, I found a gorgeous dress that I know she will fall in love with, the dress made her really crazy but she was like (ohh I love it!! that’s the dress I was thinking about but you want me to have my dream bridal gown from the internet!! THAT’S IMPOSSIBLE) I thought (OMG if I were the bride I will definitely buy it!!)
And yes, she rented a gown from a local shop that she wasn’t really like and I bought the bridal gown she loved without telling her, I was waiting for the dress delivery eagerly, it has been arrived, and wow! She returned the rented dress to the shop and defiantly said yes to that dress I bought for her.
Today is my cousin’s big day, family; friends and most of wedding guests were finding the dress very special, I was so proud of myself. Something very great was happening and all started to ask me from where did you get it?!
So I made a big decision - I would start selling dresses and only online.
I knew that would be a big challenge, the first dress I sold was ordered from one of friends, I started to sell with a very small profit, that because I was not a wholesaler, I was just a mediator between the USA websites and my friends.
I started to send emails and call some designers houses, some said, “we require a deposit of $70000 to open an account for you” some said , “we don’t work with retailers who don’t have shops” I kept trying to a find a brand to work with without such hard conditions. And finally, I got a reply “sure you can start selling our dresses” and yes, they had some requirements but i could do for them…
That was 2009. A lot has changed from those early days. I made four startups and all of them were failed but I was so persistent to continue with my dream, my sister joined me and we are making a fantastic team now, we started to work with big designers like Fouad Sarkis and Versace Jeans and now we have our own designs that made in our factory, Instead of selling to a few girls, we now have a community of the most amazing girls you could hope for who are passionate about our online shop
So who we are?
Just girls with the coolest job in the world. :)
